This past week, I had the 3 concert guitar models I build available to run some tests and compare the differences in power (dbs) and sustain seconds) of each model. The models are Hauser, Lattice and Double top. The double top was the overall winner on strings 6,5,and 1 when played at full power and a winner on strings 6,5,4 and 1 when played at mid strength.... Power wise, she was a winner on strings 6, 5, 3, 2 when played at full plucking power and a winner on strings 5, 3, 2 and 1 when played at medium plucking power. Below you can see the tables with the numbers.
Sound quality can be described as a sensation that the sounds surrounds you completely and that the response is very fast. The player's playing seems to be passed through a power amp ...that's how powerful the sound is. Still, sustain is what seems to last forever because the sound is kept up for over 2 seconds before it stars decaying...simply outstanding. Playing Barrios' tremolo only required a medium plucking strength to produce the full sound I wanted. Very relaxing to say the least....
