63 years old Brazilian rosewood LATTICE Braced Concert Masterpiece:
640mm, radius, armrest, sound port, violin string tie
It was very hard to be parted from this JEWEL when it was time to lacquer. I test and play the guitars when they are ready to be lacquered and this process usually takes a few hours. It took 3 days to send this babe to the lacquering booth ! I counted the days to have her back and that happened a few minutes ago. She is sensational ! One of the most beautiful and unique sounds I ever heard on a classical guitar. Volume, sustain and projection are not an issue with this guitar...she seems to require more and more plucking and it's hard to predict how much power she will put out in a few weeks... one thing is certain, she will sound MONUMENTAL ! The response is magnificent, in the fast double stops in the Bach Burree and the penetrating basses required in Asturias. A sound I have never heard before. The lattice brace with sound port has proven to be one of the best bracings for a classical guitar. The set of Brazilian rosewood is 63 years old was shipped from Rio de Janeiro encapsulated in wax. The figure is simply marvelous and I matched it with a terrific cedar top decorated with the most beautiful ebony/spruce linings, Brazilian rosewood bindings, and a specially designed bridge made of Lapacho and Ebony decorated with 2 Zaffires. The violin tie allows the top to vibrate fully and prolongs its life by many decades. The sound port helps this babe emanate all the amazing sound she produces because you feel as though 1 hole is simply not enough. One of the best instrument you'll ever see. A true Masterpiece !
