84 years old Brazilian rosewood
B&S, LATTICE braced cedar top, 640mm, Violin tie, radius, Gotoh tuners.
FABULOUS SOUND !! (Case included).
I am enamored
with what I achieved with this Lattice braced Cedar top. The 84 years air
dried set from Rio de Janeiro has been drying since Gershwin's "Rhapsody
In Blue" premiered at Carnegie Hall . The set has a dense brown chocolate
color and a fabulous striping that enhances the curves of the instrument.
These are decorated with maple, ebony and Alpine spruce. I decided for
Lattice bracing because it adds the extra shine to the sound that balances
the depth of Brazilian rose.
I decorated the top with a colorful
handmade Brazilian rosette and the finest marquetry. I decided to build
this one with the violin tie from the get go because I personally love
what it does to both the sound and looks of the instrument.
Romance gains a whole new dimension
with this guitar. The trebles sing like morning birds and the bass has
a presence second to none. Remember that all my instruments are played
in the video right out of the lacquering booth... no opening whatsoever
there yet. Still, the sound blossoms !!! Iamgine what this babe will sing
like in 3 weeks !!! African Walnut Bindings decorate the binding
and figured Brazilian rosewood is used for the armrest, bridge headplate
and violin tie. A true Jewel !
