90 years old Brazilian rosewood
B&S, LATTICE braced Alpine spruce top, 640mm, radius, Cutaway.
FABULOUS SOUND !! (Case included).
No other builder
on Earth builds Cutaways that sound as loud or louder than their classical
counterparts. I am the only exception to the rule. For one thing, I consider
the cutaway to be the greatest breakthrough in guitar construction, It
solves the dilemma of having to deal with the higher positions (past the
12th fret) without having to change the playing position and angle of presentation
of the hands. The set of Brazilian rosewood I used on this babe has been
air drying for over 90 years in Belo Horizonte. It was shipped to me encapsulated
in wax towards the end of July. The tap tone and figuring are spectacular.
Perfectly book matched halves and a tap tone that transformed in a big
sound full of every musical color shade the player could dream of.
I used an exclusive Brazilian handmade
rosette to crown the sound hole and matching luxury French marquetry. Recording
Asturias I could immediately feel the fast response of the instrument to
my right hand plucking. The case sends big vibrations throughout the body
of the performer and the whole instrument vibrates gloriously. Playing
Asturias on the 640 mm radiused fingerboard felt natural and changing left
hand positions was swift and easy. Listen how each one of the 6 strings
sends a personal signature differentiating it from all the others... The
palette of harmonics and mid range frequencies is rich and well in the
foreground.
She comes with a Violin tie which
is a plus that I am certain will become mainstream in guitar construction.
The tailpiece on a guitar is called for just as it is on every other member
of the strings family (violin, etc.). When the first classical guitars
were built, gut strings were the norm... the tension on these was nothing
compared to modern nylon strings. A tailpiece was redundant... Anchoring
the strings to the lower bout meet point, which is one of the sturdiest
parts of the instrument, allows the builder to thin the top more allowing
for a much bigger sound and not recur to the use of carbon fiber
(Smallman and others) that give the guitar a "plastic sound. ". I put artistry
in every detail to decorate this concert guitar in a way that will simply
enamor her fortunate owner... I am convinced that beautiful instruments
make you perform A LOT better...they are an intricate part of the player
and his artistry.
You can request several extras on
checkout like the 4 Band EQ/Tuner, position markers, upgrade to a Leather
case etc.
Do not miss on this fantastic cutaway.

Italian Alpine spruce grows at extremely
high altitudes in very cold environment. This slows the growth making the
fibers tight and musically very resonant. A beautiful range of sound
with a fast response. Clear trebles and a reverberating bass that makes
the whole body vibrate. |
