90 years old Brazilian rosewood

The sound on
this Double top Alpine spruce is simply AMAZING ! The top vibrates so fully
that huge waves are sent through my body as I perform Asturias. The response
is outstanding and the performer knows he's got an obedient babe under
his fingers ready to respond to every touch of the right hand.
The set of Brazilian rosewood is
simply unique and gorgeous... the figure is a panther like type of fur
with some dramatic pitch black veins that run across the lower bout. SPECTACULAR.
The set has been air drying for over 90 years near Rio de Janeiro. It's
been air drying since the days of WW 1 !!!
I used the best marquetry available:
a handmade Russian rosette, ebony bindings and exclusive linings and side
decoration. The armrest, violin tie and bridge match each other and the
headstock perfectly.
Listen how the bass line blossoms
in Asturias. At the same time the trebles shine and impose themselves in
the double 16th notes section. AMAZING. The action on 640 is EASY and intuitive
and the radius simply renders everything so much easier. The double top
will make you feel like the sound never dies and the armrest, violin tie
and sound port are contributing a lot to this amazing sound.

Italian Alpine spruce grows at extremely
high altitudes in very cold environment. This slows the growth making the
fibers tight and musically very resonant. A beautiful range of sound
with a fast response. Clear trebles and a reverberating bass that makes
the whole body vibrate. |
