.What tremendous guitar !! Everything on this beauty talks about the mastery of the builders, the love and passion needed to produce a beauty of such caliber. Art is in every detail that goes from the choice of the woods to the way in which each one os prepared and added to the construction. A gorgeous 83 years air dried set of Brazilian rosewood shipped from Cascavel (Brazil) started the project. The New York Times editorial was reporting that that "rockets can never fly..." That's how old this set has been air drying.
Orange Amboina burl for the violin tie inlay, And Greenish Amboina burl for the tie, armrest and headplate. This wood adds a touch of beauty that is hard to describe. A gorgeous French rosette and the most precious marquetry for the body.
Recording Barrios' "Una Limosna" was a real pleasure. The accompanying bass line is always clearly defined and the tremolo moves majestically on top. The flow of the playing is easy and intuitive as the 640mm radiused fingerboard simply adapts to the player's hand fantastically. Balance, brilliance and punch are ready for the player to make use of them.
