sound, and projection that this Doubletop Blackwood/Alpine spruce offer
is GRANDIOSE. The basses send huge vibrations through my chest
as I was playing Roamnce. Notice
how the low E rings forever and the trebles ring majestically. The closing
chord seemed to stay up forever, I
had to stop it while it was in full
vibration. The sound stays up a few seconds before decaying. The response
all throughout the fingerboard is top
notch. The radiused fingerboard
makes playing EASY. I had to decide between 640 and 650mm. I decided for
650mm because the instrument s designed
for professional players and most
of these are used to 650mm. Still, the radius makes the action EASY ! 20
frets (To play Barrios' "Un Sueño...")
The armrest is called for to keep
the doubletop to vibrate fully and without any interference from the forearm.
Black buffalo horn and black tuners
with black rollers complement the
amazing looks of this powerhouse of sound. I indulged in every possible
aesthetical detail. I will not be offering
this caliber of instrument often
(except for custom orders), therefore, don't let her go ! The standard
price of this babe is over 4,500 US$ ! In the
US you'd be paying over 15,000 US$
for a guitar of this type and sound.
