Port
Orford is like the Holy Grail of tonewoods. It has a fantastic grain that
behaves to light like the waves of the ocean that reflect the light in
different directions. It possesses the best qualities of both Spruce and
cedar... Great power and separation of voices. I used a Bach Gavotte to
show the character and speed of adaptation of the sound. The bass is simply
OUTSTANDING with bright trebles and the richest mid tones that generate
a wide palette of harmonics. The sound fills the room and the instrument
vibrated generously. I used a Hauser rosette to match the luxury French
marquetry. The 80 years old set of Brazilian is simply SPECTACULAR. You
can look at it for hours and discover new beauties at every gaze. The action
and playability are unbeatable and the 640mm scale combined to the slim
neck are simply THE BEST.
