Here
is another MASTERPIECE that sent waves of admiration throughout my studio
and my family members. This guitar will simply blow you away !! What
a sound ! What a presence ! It is the first time that I use this such a
figured African Walnut for the back and sides. You seldom find such figured
sets. I could not resist it and I embarked on a wonderful journey that
took 250 hours of intense labor and the passion of true artists of luthery
and guitar playing. Walnut is what I usually classify as a "Macho Wood"
because it is resilient, classical and elegant. It withstands hard work
and is 100% reliable. This particular set is rare because depending on
how the wood is hit by the light, the back and sides have a fabulous
reflection on the grain almost like a metallic moss green that literally
hypnotizes you. An amazing grain pattern that resembles the fur on a German
Shepherd. I mounted a Port Orford Cedar top to make her PERFECT. Many players
ask me what to put on their custom order...whether it is Spruce or Cedar...well,
Port Orford Cedar has the best qualities of both Spruce and Cedar. Powerful
yet clear and tremendously expressive. Listen how the bass is catapulted
during the performance of Asturias. Mamma mia !! It is AMAZING ! The Cedar
Double top V1 adds an everlasting sustain that puts her apart from all
the other guitars you may have heard to date. Clarity in the trebles and
a myriad harmonics to make you feel like in Heaven. As I play I feel like
I can exploit every phrase in Asturias and the guitar is there to make
every musical wish of mine a reality...what more can I ask for? Right !
She's Very easy to play thanks toy the stylized neck and radiused 640mm
action. I had to jot down a price and I wrote 2,600 US$ but I know
that if she does not go fast, I'll change it to 3,500 ... Take your chance,
you'll NEVER regret it !!
