!!!
The sound produced by this amazing Cedar top is, simply put, SPECTACULAR ! A gorgeous 92 years air dried set of Brazilian rosewood from Minas Gerais (Brazil) matched perfectly with a tight grained set of Western Redcedar top. Lattice bracing to enhance the vibrations of the top to the maximum allowing the instrument to put out amazingly clear trebles and well defined round basses. Listening to Romance, you can hear how the melody stands gloriously on top of the full sounding basses. Sustain is outstanding and the performer feels as though the lungs on this cedar top babe are simply HUGE. A gorgeous Russian rosette with roses made using thousands of pixel like pieces of wood of different species and a fantastic set of matching bindings and trims on all sides bring out the beautiful curves of this concert cutaway. I always incorporate a huge number of artistic details to enhance the beauty of the guitar. I know that a beautiful instrument makes the performer play A LOT better. This cutaway is no exception. I incorporated double headplate, luxury trims, gold plated carved tuners, lacquered interior, embedded knots holes on the tie, and many more fabulous " touches" . The action is tremendously easy, natural and intuitive. The left hand fingers always feel relaxed and there is no mount up of tension in the fingers. Changes of position on the radiused fingerboard are swift and require minimum effort. An A++ concert cutaway ! |
The lattice is a concept based on the A frame of grand pianos. The back and sides are kept rigid by means of a sturdy A shaped frame and the top is thinned as much as possible to allow the top to vibrate generously. As you see from the picture above, the thinned area is approximately 1.2 mm thick (VS 2-2.5 in the standard thinning techniques). Lattice delivers a lot of volume (approximately 21 dbs more) and wonderfully clear trebles.
Radiused or flat fingerboard?
The hand embossed leather case
is a work of art on its own right. Built by one of a handful of very talented
leather embossers in Latin America.
