This is what I call a LYRICAL instrument. She sings like few instruments do. AMAZING. The melody is carried swiftly and the choral qualities to the sound will simply keep you in awe. SPECTACULAR SOUND. A BEAUTY !
A gorgeous 92 years air dried set of Brazilian rosewood from Minas Gerais (Brazil) was used to give her body and make the sound grand. I mounted a lattice braced Alpine spruce top to allow the mid and high tones to shine majestically. Nature did the rest and decided that she would sing above all others. Listen how expressive Romance sounds on this amazing Babe. Every note is saying something and it is a clearer than human speech.
A gorgeous Russian rosette from Tula (Northern Russia) was coupled with a beautiful set of luxury French trimming. Ebony bindings bring her fabulous curves out. The natural beauty of the classical guitar does the rest. I felt immediately "elevated" as a player from the first note I plucked on this beauty. You will feel like time stops when you play her and more music is all you'll be thinking about.

The lattice is a concept based on the A frame of grand pianos. The back and sides are kept rigid by means of a sturdy A shaped frame and the top is thinned as much as possible to allow the top to vibrate generously. As you see from the picture above, the thinned area is approximately 1.2 mm thick (VS 2-2.5 in the standard thinning techniques). Lattice delivers a lot of volume (approximately 21 dbs more) and wonderfully clear trebles.

The Violin tie: The tailpiece on a guitar is called for just as it is on every other member of the strings family (violin, etc.). When the first classical 
guitars were built, gut strings were the norm... the tension on these was nothing compared to modern nylon strings. A tailpiece was redundant...
Anchoring the strings to the lower bout meet point, which is one of the sturdiest parts of the instrument, allows the builder to thin the top more 
allowing for  a much bigger sound and not recur to the use of carbon fiber or other non wood materials that give the classical guitar a "plastic sound. ". 

Radiused or flat fingerboard?
The radiused fingerboard has been around the acoustic and the electric guitar since day one. The same is true for most instruments of the Stringed family of instruments (violas, violins cellos, bass). Radiusing (image above) makes barre and left hand stopping A LOT easier. The only drawback is that you will NEVER want to play a  flat fingerboard after that. If you are having your custom guitar built, I am all pro radiusing the fingerboard.  The standard fingerboard is flat.

640mm or 650 mm?
Regarding 650mm or 640 mm guitar construction, keep the following rule at hand: If the distance between the tip of your thumb and the tip of your little finger is equal or less than 9 in. when fully stretched, use 640 mm. Adapting from one scale to the other takes no adaptation
