BEAUTY
!!!
once again I decided for a concert cutaway. I always say that the cutaway is the greatest breakthrough in guitar construction because it makes playing in the higher positions as easy and natural as playing on the rest of the fingerboard is. Guitar repertoire developed in the century and exploited the higher part of the fingerboard more and more but the instrument was in a way "locked" past the 12th fret. The whole playing position has to change when one attempts to play past the 12th fret on a standard classical. Besides the great advantage in performance it also looks great. This Brazilian rosewood B&S from Cascavel (Brazil) have been matched with a beautiful cedar top. Crowned by a gorgeous French rosette with red as the dominating color and matching trims with black and white as complementary colors. The lattice brace brings out the mid and high ranges which complete the naturally deep and profound sound of Brazilian rose and the sweetness of cedar. Swift action that makes playing a pleasure. Romance flaws easily and natural. Every single voice is in the right place and the melody sings MAJESTICALLY. The bass is tremendously powerful. Notice how long it takes for each bass to ebb away. Tremendous sustain ! The guitar vibrates fully and the sensation transmitted by the bass is simply FANTASTIC. 640mm with radius and you have what a student of mine calls "an illegal instrument" .... I recommend that on checkout you order the 2 soundports made to the cutaway. It makes the classical guitar project omnidirectionally and allows A HUGE amount of Very High Frequencies to leave the soundbox. |
The lattice is a concept based on the A frame of grand pianos. The back and sides are kept rigid by means of a sturdy A shaped frame and the top is thinned as much as possible to allow the top to vibrate generously. As you see from the picture above, the thinned area is approximately 1.2 mm thick (VS 2-2.5 in the standard thinning techniques). Lattice delivers a lot of volume (approximately 21 dbs more) and wonderfully clear trebles.

The hand embossed leather case
