It is always very challenging to find the right words to best describe a work of art such as this World class concert guitar. A myriad of pondering adjectives pass through my mind and she can emboss them all. Tremendous presence, deep expressive basses that show in the Well Tempered clavier prelude and the singing melody that shines in Cavatina. The action makes the work easy and natural. A low action on a 640 mm 1/16 radiused fingerboard works with the performer in creating the most beautiful music using the minimum required energy. Anyone who ever tried to play these 2 pieces knows how demanding the stretches in the Prelude are and how tough the barres are in Cavatina. Well, not on this babe ! You feel like you have a companion in your arms and not an instrument to struggle with. A gorgeous aged Brazilian rosewood set for the B&S sides was matched with a equally beautiful set of Italian Alpine Spruce for the top. | The doble tapa, was developed
and introduced by Master Luthier Manuel Contreras the II at the end
of the 70s and reached its peak in the 80s. The word "Tapa" in Spanish
translates to top in English but it refers to the back of the instrument.
Therefore, Contreras doble tapa is actually a "Double back".
The lattice is a concept based on the A frame of grand pianos. The back and sides are kept rigid by means of a sturdy A shaped frame and the top is thinned as much as possible to allow the top to vibrate generously. Lattice delivers a lot of volume a tremendous clarity. 640 mm Scale lenght
The hand embossed leather case is a work of art on its own right. Built by one of a handful of very talented leather embossers in Latin America. Its built following my specifications for the interior to fit Bellucci guitars like a glove. All Plush interior, key and accessories compartment.
