| Aged Brazilian Rosewood B&S,
Doble
tapa (Contreras style), Lattice braced Sinker Redwood TOP.
EBONY bindings, 16" radiused Ebony fingerboard, violin tie, armrest &
bridge. 640mm fret spacing. Embossed leather case included MASTERPIECE!
Masterpiece is the right word to define this amazingly beautiful and wonderfully sounding Brazilian rosewood/Sinker Redwood top concert guitar. The mixture of woods is simply perfect. The marvelous almost 100 years old set of Brazilian rosewood is originally from Cascavel (Rattle Snake City, Brazil). The sinker top has aged almost 300 years and both woods have a tremendous tap tone that translated in the big sounding instrument that she is. The lattice braced top gives the guitar a brilliant tone and this enhances and complements the deep resonant bass coming from the Brazilian rosewood B&S. The Sinker top adds depth and mystery to the top which and this makes it simply irresistible. 0.7 mm of sinker have been blended to 1 mm of cedar. Redwood is one of the oldest trees living on the planet. It was around when the Dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Some living trees were born around the times when Jesus was born. It is magical wood and it passes all its properties to the sound of the guitar. The western redcedar delivers the sweetness typical of the species which in turn is responsible for the amazing expressiveness on this instrument. I used a gorgeous handmade rosette for the sound hole and combined it with the luxury handmade marquetry that enhances her lines with lines of goldish yellow. She's easy to play and is set at 3.5mm at fret 12. It can be raised and lowered according to your particular needs. The swift 640 mm radiused ebony fingerboard makes every position easy and natural and the left hand NEVER feels strained or fatigued. As I played Asturias I could flavor all the nuances of the work and I could express myself in the most colorful way throughout the Leyenda Prelude. A truly wonderful concert guitar. |

| The doble tapa, was developed
and introduced by Master Luthier Manuel Contreras the II at the end
of the 70s and reached its peak in the 80s. The word "Tapa" in Spanish
translates to top in English but it refers to the back of the instrument.
Therefore, Contreras doble tapa is actually a "Double back".
The lattice is a concept based on the A frame of grand pianos. The back and sides are kept rigid by means of a sturdy A shaped frame and the top is thinned as much as possible to allow the top to vibrate generously. Lattice delivers a lot of volume a tremendous clarity. Radiused or flat fingerboard?
The hand embossed leather case is a work of art on its own right. Built by one of a handful of very talented leather embossers in Latin America. Its built following my specifications for the interior to fit Bellucci guitars like a glove. All Plush interior, key and accessories compartment. You can request an upgrade to a Cow hive front and back version. 640mm or 650 mm?
