alreadys owns 3 Bellucci concert guitars and she makes a point in having
new construction techniques applied to each one. A very wise approach in
my opinion because the different types of construction techniques, can
be compared to the different bouquets in wines... None is better than the
other and each one has a special set of characteristics that will enhance
the flavors of the foods that are being served with the given wine. This
Double top Contreras style Variation 1 (meaning that the second top -clearly
visible in picture # 3- is attached halfway between the main top and the
back) has a wonderful sound built around a strong punching bass that passes
huge vibrations through the player's body and a sweet set of crystal clear
trebles that will soothe the listener from the very first chords. The second
top moves a fraction of a second after the main top. It is attached
to the sides by means of small bridges and is so thin that will amplify
the sound waves geometrically and push them fast out of the soundhole while
creating a SUPERB sustain. I consider the Contreras V1 to be the most impressive
of construction techniques due to the great advantages that it brings about. |
