Maple B&S | .

Maple is what I call White Blackwood. It possesses most of the qualities of the African species at a fraction of the price. The wood is gorgeous and delivers a full sound that will leave you speechless. Strong punching bass and fast response are the main characteristics of these lattice braced Alpine spruce top masterpiece. Pernambuco's Choro is lively with perfectly separated voices, round basses and crystal clear trebles. In the clip, listen how the basses punch in creating the harmonic sustain in ways hard to explain in words. The action is swift and light making the most demanding works natural and flawless. SOUND QUALITIES: Well balanced sound on all 6 strings, in my opinion, one of the best tone woods to the point that I cannot believe that it is not more sought after. It really competes neck to neck with Brazilian rosewood and African Blackwood...and the wood looks simply terrific. The great advantage of the species is that it is an American species, which translates in very little care when it comes to humidity conditions etc. It is very light compared to the tropical species but delivers with the same presence. IDEAL FOR: Classical and Flamenco, advanced-pro players FULLY customizable at Checkout
