Brazilian Rosewood B&S, Hauser braced Cedar top. 650mm,
Macassar Ebony bridge, Macassar Ebony fingerboard. Double lute type soundports.
African Walnut bindings and luxury marquetry on all sides, Brazilian
Rosewood buttons on gold plated tuners. "The Tiger" !
The Tiger has been 2010 and 2011 most sought after Bellucci concert guitar and for a very good reason: she's spectacular! I asked my wood suppliers throughout Brazil: "Whenever you get a set like this, mail it to me immediately !" I used a marvelously bookmatched
Tiger
set that had a tap tone that promised to transform into a one in million
concert guitar. It kept its promise. Her beauty is beyond the realm of
words. The Black swirly stripes against the lighter color shades of browns
and deep yellows create the effect of the feline fur to perfection. You
will find yourself admiring her for long stretches of time because she's
full of the most amazing luthery details created using marquetry and different
species of wood in the most artistic and skillful manner. I used Thai Amboina
Burl to make the rosette by hand and decorate the Macassar Ebony bridge.
I used Tiger striped Macassar Ebony for the fingerboard and bridge, Brazilian
rosewood buttons on the gold plated tuners... Playing her is the next best
thing to looking at her. She's powerful and sweet at the same time. Cavatina
could flow smoothly and the guitar responded to minimum changes in the
right hand immediately. Her tone is perfect and the equilibrium of the
voices is simply put amazing! She is easy to play thanks to the slim neck
that I build on all my guitars. I could play through the tricky sequence
of bars on the higher positions with amazing ease... She is the type of
instrument that you never get tired of playing.

The 9 braces Hauser fan is the most thoroughly tested fan brace setup on the planet. It is the result of many years of experimenting. It is braced on Torres 4 fan brace design. The braces act as sound vibrations highways...they carry the vibration of each string to a specific spot on the soundboard. If you put your fingers on the soundboard as you play the 6th string for instance, you will feel the upper portion of the top vibrate with more power than the rest of the top. You will be able to feel this vibrations with your fingertips all the way to the 4th strings. It is harder to feel the vibration caused by the treble strings. The variations on the 9 braces fan is enormous. Luthier taylor each fan to achieve a specific sound and match the instrument with the rest of the woods used in the construction. Above to the left is a 9 braces all Spruce fan. I often use a mixture of Cedar, Spruce and Mahogany to match different wood combinations. |
