!!!
This
Cutaway is without a doubt one of the most spectacular guitars of its kind
ever built. The project was inspired by the fabulous Sri Lanka Macassar
Ebony I received less than 40 days ago from Colombo. Ariesen, my Macassar
supplies, sent me 3 spectacular sets of back and sides of the species and
this is one of them (you can see the other 2 sets in being offered this
week) . It s simply amazing both from an aesthetical point of view
and from a sound perspective. The figure resembles the wings of a peacock
and some of the most striking South East Asian burls. The tap tone promised
to be able to create a fast sounding babe and that is exactly what it did.
The sound on this Cedar top is unbelievable. You will never guess it's
a cutaway such is the power that emanates from the sound hole. The rest
of the work was deciding on the art work to decorate every corner of this
masterpiece and the work was grand and worth every minute it took to complete.
