air dried Brazilian rosewood B&S, Alpine spruce top, Gabon Ebony bindings,
radiused fingerboard armrest and bridge. 640mm. Embossed leather
case included. Masterpiece! !!
Tremendous
presence are the words that comes to mind when I hear the first notes of
this beauty and submerge in Bach's Prelude. An amazing palette of colors
and projection that gets me really excited. Beauty that goes beyond the
realm of words. A gorgeous set of Cascavel (Rattle snake, Brazil) Brazilian
rosewood, matched by a superb cut of Alpine spruce and everything bonded
by the most beautiful and delicate Russian marquetry. A double Ebony neck
reinforcement truss rod delivers sturdiness to a slim and easy to play
on radius ebony fingerboard. Everything flows marvelously on this gorgeous
spruce top and, once again, 640mm proves to be the best scale for a concert
classical guitar because it makes everything work in coordination with
nature for the left hand works within its natural stretch.

Radiused or flat fingerboard? The radiused fingerboard has been around the acoustic and the electric guitar since day one. The same is true for most instruments of the Stringed family of instruments (violas, violins cellos, bass). Radiusing (image above) makes barre and left hand stopping A LOT easier. The only drawback is that you will NEVER want to play a flat fingerboard after that. If you are having your custom guitar built, I am all pro radiusing the fingerboard. The standard fingerboard is flat. The hand embossed leather case
is a work of art on its own right. Built by one of a handful of very talented
leather embossers in Latin America.
