The doble tapa Contreras style seems to be taken to its highest possibilities when matched with a lattice braced top. I know for a fact that no other builder has achieved the level of experimenting that I have along with my skilled luthiers. Adding the lattice to an already big sounding DOBLE TAPA simply appealed to my common sense and when that happens it is irresistible to follow its impulse. I am happy I ventured because the resulting instrument is the best of the guitar world...the sustain and punch offered by the doble tapa coupled with the high/mid ranges enhancer typical of the lattice...you get the best of both worlds... This is probably the type of instrument I'd choose if I could only have 1 in a lifetime. Making her GORGEOUS was the romantic part of the project. A gorgeous handmade French Polynesian mother of pearl rosette looks as gorgeous on her as a diamond collar around the neck of a princess. Astonishingly GORGEOUS. Every possible Bellucci enhancement and artistry detail was incorporated to take this guitar to the Guitar Olympus where she sings MAJESTICALLY. |

| Radiused or flat fingerboard?
The radiused fingerboard has been around the acoustic and the electric guitar since day one. The same is true for most instruments of the Stringed family of instruments (violas, violins cellos, bass). Radiusing (image above) makes barre and left hand stopping A LOT easier. The only drawback is that you will NEVER want to play a flat fingerboard after that. If you are having your custom guitar built, I am all pro radiusing the fingerboard. The standard fingerboard is flat. The hand embossed leather case is a work of art on its own right. Built by one of a handful of very talented leather embossers in Latin America. Its built following my specifications for the interior to fit Bellucci guitars like a glove. All Plush interior, key and accessories compartment. You can request an upgrade to a Cow hive front and back version. 640mm or 650 mm?
