What
a fabulous guitar ! Tasmanian Tiger Myrtle is without any doubt one of
the best looking tonewoods on the planet and when it comes to sound, it
ranks with THE VERY BEST ! The wood offers an array of color tones that
you will not hear on any other tonewood and this makes her amazingly versatile
and complete as a concert instrument. Each one of the sets I used to build
turned into a top notch concert guitar. The grain and fibers of the wood
are so compact that the sound bounces back at an excellent speed offering
the punch and presence I have felt with each single set. I used a cedar
top and proceeded to make her a double top. The 9 fan Hauser bracing
for the top has proven time and again to deliver a beautiful malleable
tone which becomes Heavenly when matched with the double top construction.
Playing Asturias I felt as though
I always played this guitar...she's sculpted to feel natural from the very
first note you play on her. The radiused fingerboard, along with the slim
neck are responsible for this in part, my focus on playability as the main
