Tasmanian Tiger Myrtle B&S, Hauser Braced Double top, Cedar top. African Padauk bindings, 640mm fret spacing. Double soundport in left upper bout, 16" radiused Ebony fingerboard, bridge and violin tie. Tiger Myrtle armrest. Embossed leather case included . GORGEOUS !!
What a fabulous guitar ! Tasmanian Tiger Myrtle is without any doubt one of the best looking tonewoods on the planet and when it comes to sound, it ranks with THE VERY BEST ! The wood offers an array of color tones that you will not hear on any other tonewood and this makes her amazingly versatile and complete as a concert instrument. Each one of the sets I used to build turned into a top notch concert guitar. The grain and fibers of the wood are so compact that the sound bounces back at an excellent speed offering the punch and presence I have felt with each single set. I used a cedar top and proceeded to make her a double top. The 9 fan Hauser  bracing for the top has proven time and again  to deliver a beautiful malleable tone  which becomes Heavenly when matched with the double top construction.
Playing Asturias I felt as though I always played this guitar...she's sculpted to feel natural from the very first note you play on her. The radiused fingerboard, along with the slim neck are responsible for this in part, my focus on playability as the main asset of a concert guitar is responsible for the

The hand embossed leather case is a work of art on its own right. Built by one of a handful of very talented leather embossers in Latin America. Its built following my specifications for the interior to fit Bellucci guitars like a glove. All Plush interior, key and accessories compartment. You can request an upgrade to a Cow hive front and back version.

The Region/Island of Tasmania is located south of Melbourne. The Tiger Myrtle trees can grow up to be GIANTS. As you can imagine, the wood is protected and only a few sets are commerced annually making it a greatly sought after Tropical wood

Radiused or flat fingerboard?
The radiused fingerboard has been around the acoustic and the electric guitar since day one. The same is true for most instruments of the Stringed family of instruments (violas, violins cellos, bass). Radiusing (image above) makes barre and left hand stopping A LOT easier. The only drawback is that you will NEVER want to play a  flat fingerboard after that. If you are having your custom guitar built, I am all pro radiusing the fingerboard.  The standard fingerboard is flat.
Double top V1

The double top with the 9 braces Hauser fan, was developed and introduced by  Master Luthier Manuel Contreras the II at the end of the 70s and reached its peak in the 80s. In this Variation of the Double top, a second top is located halfway between the main top and the back. It is held in place by means of little Mahogany bridges located above and below the second top along the inner part of the sides (frames 1 & 3). The second top rests on the upper bridges and once it is glued on each little bridge (frame 2), a second bridge is glued on top of the preceding corresponding bridge below the second top (frame 3). This second top vibrates a fraction of a second after the first one creating an immense sustain and punch using the air moving inside the soundbox and thus creating a multiplying effect of the sonorous waves.
