What a wonderful sound ! What a beauty ! These were my wife's exclamations when she heard me play the piece and saw her while I was taking pictures. She's absolutely right. This babe is absolutely SPECTACULAR. ! I built her using a 90 years air dried set of Brazilian rosewood from Minas gerais (Brazil). The top: A splendid set of Italian Alpine spruce that balances the deep sounding basses with some of the clearest trebles I ever heard. Listen how Asturias seems to gain a whole new life and gains in expressiveness as I play through the piece. The Opening counterpoint is brought up by the great personality on each string. A killing 4th that carries the melody with pride. The 6th comes in deep, full of power and round like a stand up bass. Mid ranges... infinite... This is the description any concert player dreams to read about his prospect guitar. I decided to have a mother of pearl rosette and add a pearl detail to the bridge and then used the most fabulous and rich marquetry to dress her up like the Queen that she is. Double top again because I have been asked to offer more of these... I of course indulged in the armrest and the violin tie that help her resonate much longer and with more power and added the soundport to make her COMPLETE. |
