| 96 years air dried Brazilian
rosewood B&S,
LATTICE braced adoble tapa (Contreras
style) Cedar top. Birdseye Maple bindings, 16" radiused
ebony fingerboard, violin tie, armrest & bridge. 640mm fret spacing.
Embossed
leather case included. HUGE Sound, PURE BEAUTY !!
I had to play Villa Lobos Prelude #1 to show the amazing lyrical properties of this sound powerhouse. The melody, carried by the bass, imitates the cello in Brazilian trios, and the response of the instrument is fabulous with vibratos to die for and a projection and clarity worthy of the royalty among guitars. Bringing out notes in chords is also instinctive on this babe and the listener never has to guess which is the main melody. The set is 96 years air dried and it is originally from Minas Gerais (Brazil). Lattice bracing to give her the most precious clarity and Doble tapa to make her resonate forever.... Swift, agile action with a 16" radius to make every passage easy and natural. A true Masterpiece. |

| The doble tapa, was developed
and introduced by Master Luthier Manuel Contreras the II at the end
of the 70s and reached its peak in the 80s. The word "Tapa" in Spanish
translates to top in English but it refers to the back of the instrument.
Therefore, Contreras doble tapa is actually a "Double back".
Radiused or flat fingerboard?
The hand embossed leather case is a work of art on its own right. Built by one of a handful of very talented leather embossers in Latin America. Its built following my specifications for the interior to fit Bellucci guitars like a glove. All Plush interior, key and accessories compartment. You can request an upgrade to a Cow hive front and back version. 640mm or 650 mm?
