| 92 Brazilian rosewood B&S,
Alpine
spruce top, Doble tapa (Contreras style) Variation 1. Maple
bindings, 16" radiused ebony fingerboard, violin tie, armrest & bridge.
640mm fret spacing. Double soundport in upper bout.
Embossed leather
case included. WOW !
The third string on classical guitars is usually the Achilles heel of the instrument. That is not the case with this super babe. I chose to play Barrios' Una Limosna por el amor de Dios because it makes vast use of the counterpoint on the third string. Playing and hearing the piece on this masterpiece is a totally inspiring experience. The right hand can flow with the tremolo without the player worrying about sound intensity. A big punch and amazing clarity accompany this Double top vibrate fully. She's got a second top made of Cedar (Halfway between the Alpine top and the back) and the blend of the 2 species is simply too hard to describe in words...SPECTACULAR is the closest can get. The Brazilian rose is 92 years old and originally from Minas Gerais (Brazil). Playability on the radiused 640mm action is PERFECT ! |

| The doble tapa, was developed
and introduced by Master Luthier Manuel Contreras the II at the end
of the 70s and reached its peak in the 80s. The word "Tapa" in Spanish
translates to top in English but it refers to the back of the instrument.
Therefore, Contreras doble tapa is actually a "Double back".
Radiused or flat fingerboard?
The hand embossed leather case is a work of art on its own right. Built by one of a handful of very talented leather embossers in Latin America. Its built following my specifications for the interior to fit Bellucci guitars like a glove. All Plush interior, key and accessories compartment. You can request an upgrade to a Cow hive front and back version. 640mm or 650 mm?
