This
must have been the time I was most tempted to keep a guitar I build to
myself. I literally had to bring to memory ny very own agreement that the
guitars I build are not for myself. Believe me when I say that it is very
hard to keep the promise when you run across a babe of this caliber. She
is stunning on all fronts. Visually, she is perfect. The all Black and
white theme of woods and marquetry is only contrasted by the brownish present
in the macassar grain and the Cedar top... she deserves every glance she
receives and her beauty is only matched by her SUPERB sound. I mean she
booms like few guitars I played in my 40 years as a guitar player. The
bass sends huge waves through her body, the speed and response to the plucking
is lightning fast and her trebles and mid ranges accompanied by a myriad
harmonics and overtones make her one of the best concert guitars ever.
In the video I play 2 pieces: Bach "Air on the G string" and Barrios'
"Una
limosna por el amor de Dios". The separation of voices and sustain
shine in the Air whilst Una limosna brings about her lyrical character
and amazing expressiveness.
Tremendously easy to play due to
the 640mm radiused action and slim neck. Strings at just 3.5mm at fret
12. Add to this the indented cutaway that allows easy access all the way
down to the F# (fret 14) and you will understand why she is such a perfect
instrument. You must not let this opportunity pass you by.
