80 years old Brazilian
rosewood B&S. 1943 Hermann Hauser braced cedar top, 640mm, adjustable
truss rod, Thai Amboina burl bridge and truss rod cover. UNIQUE MASTERPIECE
!!
This gorgeous
set of Brazilian rosewood has been air drying for over 80 years near Foz
do Iguacu Brazil. In other words, Alexander Flemming had just discovered
penicillin when this set started to air dry. Beautiful dark tone
with many degrees of brown, beige and even some green and red in the striping.
Superb tap tone from the start blossomed in this gorgeous guitar. I mounted
Western Redcedar for the tone and made her a Hauser (with my own modifications
to enhance projection). Spanish in the feel, response and beauty of sound.
In the Romance clip, I do not use appoggiato (rest) stroke and I play around
with dynamics to feel the overall response of the instrument. A+!
I made 640 to make the playing natural and mounted an adjustable truss
rod for those wishing to use a very low action. I indulged in using Thai
Amboina Burl from Thailand for the bridge and the truss rod cover and they
add a magical touch of uniqueness to this beauty. The Rosette is handmade
in Russia and the tuners are hand painted following the same colors of
the Amboina burl.
A JEWEL !!!
