Aged Brazilian Rosewood Masterpiece "Horsehead nebula guitar":
640mm, radius, armrest... SPECTACULAR !

I could not resist this set of Brazilian rosewood from the minute I saw it. Being an avid amateur astronomer myself, and having the Orion constellation crowning my Southern hemisphere sky was enough motivation to carry the project to conclusion. The set is originally from Rio de Janeiro and it's been aged anywhere between 60 and 70 years. Maybe more. The tap tone and contrasts generated by the grain along with the marvelous Horsehead pattern make this UNIQUE instrument emanate beauty and grandeur from every angle. The sound is simply UNBELIEVABLE. The basses have more to do with the bass section f an orchestra than the typical guitar bass...it has a remarkably human quality to the bass and it simply resonates majestically. You can see and hear this characteristic in the Bach prelude and Galilei Saltarello recording/video I just made. The sound is generous and the vibrations that emanate from the instrument are huge. The mid range and harmonics are spectacular and the trebles are crisp, clear and penetrating. What else can you ask for?
I matched the back and sides with a gorgeous Italian spruce top. Embellished her with a Russian Rosette and French Marquetry. The armrest allows the top to vibrate fully allowing the guitar to generate 94dbs of sound minutes after lacquering has finished. Simply unbelievable.
