Aged Brazilian rosewood B&S,  LATTICE braced Canadian Cedar top. 640mm, radius, armrest, violin tie, soundport. MAGNIFICENT! Embossed Leather case.
Every time I get a Cedar top on my lap, I feel the urge to become an expressive player. That is why I chose Torroba's Elegia to make this babe shine in the video clip. A splendid cut of Rio de Janeiro Brazilian rosewood shipped by my friend Joao at the beginning of 2008. Splendid figure, grain and tap tone.  The Canadian cedar works up to my expectations, Actually, my expectations are totally shattered from the first note I play. An intense, deep and sweet sound on the melody that can melt stones !! The greatest sustain to bring Elegy to its maximum expressiveness.
A splendid Italian rosette, a true masterpiece on its own right. Luxury marquetry ebony bindings and splendid 2 colors Brazilian rose headplate.
Playability is wonderful...  the fingers do not have to press hard to get the clean notes one desires and the hole instrument vibrates generously.
I cannot get tired of looking at all the eye candies this babe has to offer. Simply gorgeous and full of art and artistic care in every finishing detail. A true MASTERPIECE !
Lattice bracing and A frame stretch
640mm or 650 mm
radiused

Radiused or flat fingerboard?

The lattice is a concept based on the A frame of grand pianos. The back and sides are kept rigid by means of a sturdy A shaped frame and the top is thinned as much as possible to allow the top to vibrate generously. As you see from the picture above, the thinned area is approximately 1.2 mm thick (VS 2-2.5 in the standard thinning techniques). Lattice delivers a lot of volume (approximately 21 dbs more) and wonderfully clear trebles

640mm or 650 mm?
Regarding 650mm or 640 mm guitar construction, keep the following rule at hand: If the distance between the tip of your thumb and the tip of your little finger is equal or less than 9 in. when fully stretched, use 640 mm. Adapting from one scale to the other takes no time at all.

Radiused or flat fingerboard?
The radiused fingerboard has been around the acoustic and the electric guitar since day one. The same is true for most instruments of the Stringed family of instruments (violas, violins cellos, bass). Radiusing (image above) makes barre and left hand stopping A LOT easier. The only drawback is that you will NEVER want to play a  flat fingerboard after that. If you are having your custom guitar built, I am all pro radiusing the fingerboard.  The standard fingerboard is flat.
