Aged Brazilian rosewood B&S,  Lattice Braced Alpine spruce top, Gabon ebony armrest, violin tie, radiused fingerboard, bindings and bridge. Sound port, 640mm, Embossed leather case. MASTERPIECE!
What a beautiful guitar !! The crisp live sound coupled with the amazingly figured 90 years air dried Brazilian rosewood makes her stand out from the crowd. Art in every little corner...in the ebony bindings and luxury marquetry from France. The red roses rosette talks of the fire that emanates from her soul. Warm sounding basses accompanied by the most brilliant trebles you can imagine. The figure on this set of Brazilian rosewood makes you think of a wild African Lion's hair.... simply breathtaking. The Alpine spruce adds the clarity that only this Northern Italian species can deliver.
The action is easy and playing feels natural throughout the fingerboard. 640mm added to the radius is simply an irresistible formula that I know for a fact will become the new standard in classical guitar construction. The Lattice makes the whole structure vibrate generously and huge vibrations are passed to the player's chest. Simply put, WONDERFUL !!!

Radiused or flat fingerboard?

Italian Alpine spruce grows at extremely high altitudes in very cold environment. This slows the growth making the fibers tight and musically very resonant.  A beautiful range of sound with a fast response. Clear trebles and a reverberating bass that makes the whole body vibrate.

The lattice is a concept based on the A frame of grand pianos. The back and sides are kept rigid by means of a sturdy A shaped frame and the top is thinned as much as possible to allow the top to vibrate generously. As you see from the picture above, the thinned area is approximately 1.2 mm thick (VS 2-2.5 in the standard thinning techniques). Lattice delivers a lot of volume (approximately 21 dbs more) and wonderfully clear trebles

640mm or 650 mm?
Regarding 650mm or 640 mm guitar construction, keep the following rule at hand: If the distance between the tip of your thumb and the tip of your little finger is equal or less than 9 in. when fully stretched, use 640 mm. Adapting from one scale to the other takes no time at all.

Radiused or flat fingerboard?
The radiused fingerboard has been around the acoustic and the electric guitar since day one. The same is true for most instruments of the Stringed family of instruments (violas, violins cellos, bass). Radiusing (image above) makes barre and left hand stopping A LOT easier. The only drawback is that you will NEVER want to play a  flat fingerboard after that. If you are having your custom guitar built, I am all pro radiusing the fingerboard.  The standard fingerboard is flat.
