(90 years old) Brazilian rosewood B&S, 255 years old Hauser braced
Sinker Redwood top, Ebony armrest, bridge, bindings and radiused fingerboard.
MASTERPIECE! Big Sound! Embossed leather case included.
The beauty and sound of this Brazilian rosewood are simply AMAZING. The 90 years old Brazilian rosewood set was shipped from Minas Gerais at the end of 2008. It has been air drying since 1916. World War I was raging when this set started drying. That´s how old it is! It shows in the a mature voice that, very much like a human being, is deep and powerful producing crystal clear trebles and an amazing array of mid tones and harmonics. The colors and shades of brown with black are marvelous making it a top notch set. Add to this the 255 years old Sinker redwood top and you have an AMAZING instrument with a voice that puts her apart from all the other guitars. Literally, in a league of her own. Gabon Ebony details such as the armrest, bindings and bridge coupled with luxury detailing in the bridge, headstock (4 head plates), lining and purflings, make her an amazing work of art with details that will sweeten your sight at every glance. The rosette is handmade in France. The 640mm radiused fingerboard makes playing much more natural. Passing from one position to the next is swift and A LOT easier than on conventional flat action. The price is simply ridiculous and is adapted to the difficult economical times. The "normal" price of this guitar is around 3,100 US$. Do not let this babe pass you by.
Sinker
logs like the ones below, are pulled from the bottom of lakes and rivers.
Sometimes, scuba divers are needed to achieve the extraction. Most
of these logs are hundreds of years old (In one of the pictures above,
you can see that the tree was cut with an hatchet). Due to a series of
factors (The logs were too big and heavy to be pulled out of the rivers
or the logs were caught by currents and were sucked to the bottom)
these logs were trapped by the muddy buttons of these water beds and this
created like a time capsule where the wood was preserved in fantastic humidity
conditions that made the wood season in a slow natural way during many
centuries. Some of the logs are selected for musical instruments construction.
The sound that these woods produce is unique and the grain has a beautiful
coloration that changes according to the type of mud present in the water
bed.
