MARVELOUS
!!!
Here is a tremendous instrument built using Hermann Hauser 1943 blueprints with the adding of every Bellucci construction enhancement like the slightly domed top, the armrest, the lacquered interior, the violin tie, the mixed woods fan bracing among many others. This is the best that a Hauser guitar can sound. She's powerful with an amazing separation of voices and a mature sound. The basses are huge and create a marvelous contrast with the singing mid/high frequencies of the trebles. In the clip, notice how shiny the G-B-high E ascending melody on string 1 is. The contrast with the other voices is well defined and this quality belongs to the best concert instruments. I used a gorgeous Sri Lanka Macassar Ebony set for the back and sides that is fabulously figured and promised to deliver a tremendous guitar from the first tapping. Macassar Ebony is, in my opinion, one of the best tone woods on the planet. It is very stable and often presents some dramatic figuring. Unlike Brazilian rosewood, it is not prone to fissuring and does not need as much care as the Brazilian counterpart (humidity/teperature oscillations). I matched it with an equally gorgeous set of Italian Alpine spruce from Val D' Aosta. The ebony trimming and luxury marquetry define her lines and the gorgeous floral theme on the handmade Russian rosette is like a crown. The combination of the 2 creates a beautiful voice and looks that are simply to die for. 640 mm radiused action to make playing smooth and fast and every Bellucci artistic detailing to make her a jewel to be looked at for hours. |
