I consider it a
gift to be able to witness the creation of a beauty like the one I am presenting.
She is shaped in a 90 years air
dried set of Brazilian rosewood I received from Cascavel (Rattle Snake),
Brazil . The best of tap tones was a promise fully kept upon termination
of the construction of this queen. The lines of the instrument sweeten
the eye while the hands feel the shiny curves. BEAUTIFUL. Playing her takes
you to another level as a player. You are inspired into doing better. Solid
penetrating basses and a set of magnificent trebles make her a TOTAL WINNER.
The mid ranges are phenomenal especially when performing pieces like Asturias
where you need to fill the gap between the counterponting basses VS the
second string....
EASY to play and with an infinite
palette of timbers. I only had her in my arms for 15 minutes but it felt
like I always played her. Natural flowing action and a response to dream
of.
I am eternally grateful to my friend
Pierre for providing these gorgeous cuts of Alpine spruce from Val D' Aosta
in Northern Italy. They couple with Brazilian rosewood majestically because
Brazilian rosewood is a Dark, Deep wood, whilst the Italian species is
lively with spark. The Lattice bracing completes the magic by allowing
the whole top to vibrate fully and uniformly. Fabulous !!

Italian Alpine spruce grows at extremely
high altitudes in very cold environment. This slows the growth making the
fibers tight and musically very resonant. A beautiful range of sound
with a fast response. Clear trebles and a reverberating bass that makes
the whole body vibrate.
