Maestro Bellucci
10-STRINGS Brazilian rosewood B&S,   "Yepes Model" Narciso Yepes
The 10 strings concert guitar had been around my mind for a long time. Maestro Narciso Yepes was the first GRAND maestro I ever had. He gave me lessons in in Las Rosas home in the early 80s. There, I played a few chords on his 10 strings guitar...the same one he made his 1976 Deutsche Grammophone recordings on... When I played her I was in Heaven and the feelings when I recorded Romance for the demo, took me to that instant immediately ! The next time I played a 10 strings was at Ramirez studio/museum where he (Ramirez III) let me play one a 10-strings babe. I played Romance on the clip, The piece that made Yepes world famous....I used the Yepes tuning C Bb Ab Gb tuning although I find the D C B A tuning more intuitive.
I was waiting for a 10 strings guitar player to order one of this babes in order to get the new project going but I had to build one and show her off to get their attention. Nobody passed from a shy inquiry " Do you build 10 strings guitars? " .

She has several features to make her proud: 1-She's the first 10 strings with a doubletop. 2-She´s also the first  10 strings 640mm double top on the planet and she is definitely the most affordable 10-strings concert you'll EVER find... Simply put, ASTONISHING. Her sound seems to go on forever.... LITERALLY. The extra 4 strings add an innumerable number of harmonic and sets notes in motion in harmonic sympathy. Really marvelous. It took me 2 minutes to adapt to the look of the fret board from above as I was making the video but the sound and sustain on this baby really conquered me from the first plucking.  Imagine having a reverb machine on... that is what it feels like.
Needless to say that everybody in the workshop was ecstatic as I was finishing the recording. Remember that only a tempered glass separates my studio and the workshop....
As with all Bellucci guitars, I had to include unique artistic details...in the luxury French marquetry and splendid cedar toned rosette. The triple truss rod reinforcement and the new violin tie with embedded holes to hide the knots are only some of the exquisiteness of this Queen.

Radiused or flat fingerboard?

The double top with Nomex is basically a sandwich where a thin layer of synthetic fire retarding material (Nomex) is inserted between two super thin tops. The total thickness of the 3-layered top is equivalent to a normal top. The center layer is practically speaking hollow, therefore it is also called "hollow guitar top". This is more expensive because 2 tops+Nomex and special adhesives have to be used in the construction... Double top makes the sound of the guitar stay up longer before it decays. It brings about balance in the voices and approximately 21 dbs more in overall volume.

Regarding 650mm or 640 mm guitar construction, keep the following rule at hand: If the distance between the tip of your thumb and the tip of your little finger is equal or less than 9 in. when fully stretched, use 640 mm. Adapting from one scale to the other takes no time at all.

Radiused or flat fingerboard?
The radiused fingerboard has been around the acoustic and the electric guitar since day one. The same is true for most instruments of the Stringed family of instruments (violas, violins cellos, bass). Radiusing (image above) makes barre and left hand stopping A LOT easier. The only drawback is that you will NEVER want to play a  flat fingerboard after that.

The leather wrapping around the strings is to avoid the elongation knots to damage the finish.
I did not have the extra 4 strings cut at the correct measure so I had to elongate the  ones I had available.
You can remove the leather protection as soon as you change strings.
