Cavatina sounds right on the first take, I know I am holding a Masterpiece
guitar. For anyone who has learned the work and has dealt with the intricate
and demanding barres in the opening section this will sound perfectly clear.
She is tremendously easy to play due to the gentle radius, slim neck and
low action. I mean, VERY EASY to play.
I used a 100 years air dried set of Brazilian Rosewood from Cascavel, a small town some 300 miles to the East of Asuncion, right across the Paraguay-Brazil border. It is gorgeous with a rich palette of colors in the grain that go from brown, red, green, orange and black... GORGEOUS. ![]() Tap tone spoke of a master guitar from the very first minute I received her. Uniform throughout the set. Matching it to the Alpine Spruce was perfect and the complementation that the second top made of Sinker Redwood brings to the sound makes her COMPLETE in the player's hands. A fantastic deep orange handmade Russian rosette decorated the center of the soundboard and the most delicate artistry takes care of every inch on this gorgeous concert guitar. Alpine Spruce is the variety used by the Legendary Cremonan violin maker Stradivarius. I heard this phrase more than once in my 40 years career: "Had Stradivarius not used Alpine Spruce for his violins, we would not know of Stradivarius." Her sound will capture from the very first notes you play on her because her sound is so reminiscent of the "traditional Spanish sound" that you will not be able to resist |
