Dear
Renato,
Guitar
arrived today, more beautiful than the website showed! I have
written a poem for you. Its rhythm is set to the popular "'Twas
the Night Before Christmas" in honor of the season as well:
A guitar to produce most sonorous
sounds
Must come from a place where rosewood
abounds;
Where spruce, cedar, redwood are
cut with great care
To top those guitars created with
flare.
And it hardly ends there!
There's ebony too.
And maple and walnut to mention
a few.
Sent the world over, they're sturdily
shipped,
Housed in cased leather, they're
fully equipped.
When unwrapped their new owners
will heartily swoon
At the music they offer once they're
in tune.
I'd never have thought that when
looking on line
I'd find guitar heaven and make
some of them mine.
I couldn't have dreamed a more beautiful
guitar than this latest addition to my collection. I now own four
of your creations. I wish I could breed them to produce even more.
But that would deprive me of the pleasure I derive of communicating with
you each time I make a purchase.
And it has, indeed, been a pleasure
once more in reaching you and receiving one more of your masterpieces,
the very term you used to dub this particular guitar.
Most sincerely,
Dan, US, February 1, 2012
professorflick< at >aol< dot >com
Maestro,
I thank you from the bottom of my
heart for your help in making choices into the purchase of my instrument.
I will unfortunately not be home from Afghanistan until March of this year.
I will be traveling to New York City to play in a special Classical Guitar
Club called the Monkey where I
will be playing your
guitar.
I hope that you will continue to
craft instruments so that in the future I can purchase another guitar from
you. I will be in touch and I will look always at those instruments you
are making in awe. You sir, are my hero and it overjoys me to know that
there are people still in the world that are making beautiful things. Your
guitar will have an honored place in my house and be an heirloom to my
children. This sort of craftsmanship is failing in my country and
it is seen less and less these days. Thank you.
With Great Admiration, Affection
and Respectfully yours,
Joe Gladney, US Soldier serving

Thanks
much for the beautiful member of your guitar family. I have shown
it to the people at my local guitar store (Guitar Center). They were very
impressed. "Very nice" and "what an amazing amount of work" were
the general comments.
Renato - Thank you very much, I
am spreading the word about your lovely informative website.
It might be nice to have a small brochure to pass around.

Hi
Renato,
My daughter can not believe how
beautiful the
guitar is. It plays and sounds perfect. I can't believe how much sustain
it has for a 615mm. It's also perfect for her hands. She said if you were
here she would kiss you.
Thanks so much, and God bless you,

Hello
Renato
I received my guitar today.
I can't believe how quickly it got here.
What a Christmas present !
I was so excited to get it.
It is absolutely beautiful . And
she sounds wonderful. I love the depth and volume of the lower
strings, yet the upper strings have a brighness as well.
Thank you so much!
Have a Happy Holiday Season !

Dear
Renato:
I received my guitar two days ago.
WOW! She is beautiful and the sound is incredible. It is amazing that when
she is in tune the wood vibrates with the resonance of the strings. Thank
you for your everlasting impeccable taste in wood and attention to detail.
It is truly a masterpiece.
Thank you, always love and peace.

Dear
Renato,
I have received the guitar. She
looks great, especially the spruce top, its grain is extremely tight. The
16’’ radius finger board is much easier to play even though I have no problems
with flat finger board… But it should not go beyond 16’’ unless the guitar
is cutaway.
Her sound is great, determined and
expressive. I tried Brazilian Portrait (Powell) – her sound was sweet,
then Serenata Espanola (Malats) - her sound was romantic, then part of
Fugue BWV 1000 (Bach) and her sound was really determined.
I love this guitar !!!
More importantly, on top of all the
guitars, my dear Renato, I am not sure whether I will have a chance to
see you in the future or not, but in my heart, you’re always my good friend
from far far away.
Warmest regards,

Dear
Renato:
The sextuple top Ziricote custom
guitar you built to my specifications is now the "star" of my collection.
I have always wanted a guitar built from this very rare wood and the inlay
work and custom marquetry your shop put on this guitar is just breathtaking.
The extra time I had to wait for it due to its complexity was well worth
it. I am sure that the price I paid was only a fraction of what the
so called "major makers" would charge for such a beauty -- if one could
even talk them into building such a custom, one-off guitar!
Many thanks to you and your team
of artisan builders for my Ziricote beauty.

The
Bellucci guitar I bought from your website this last January is my
fifth classical guitar. I have been studying guitar at the Eastman Community
Music School (a division of the Eastman School of Music) for over ten years,
and have attended the National Guitar Workshop Classical Summit most of
those years. I have had considerable contact with professionals and have
become acquainted with a number of guitar builders, and with a number of
very fine guitars. I also have built a lute and a number of folk instruments
(no guitars).
The Bellucci guitar is the finest
one I have ever owned, and equal to or better than any other guitar I have
played. It has been admired by everyone who has seen and heard it this
past year, including advanced players and professionals. The construction
is superb, the tone rich and powerful, and it is easy to play (640mm string
length). The intonation is as perfect at possible throughout the fretboard,
in contrast to my other guitars, including a Casimiro Lozano.
Dealing with you Renato is a pleasure,
the guitar came right away extremely well packaged, and was exactly as
described.
The guitar came brand new without
any breaking in, a new experience for me. After 10 months the tone is still
improving. I started noticing a big improvement after ten days (just as
he promised in the instructions that came with the guitar). For those
of you that have not broken in a new guitar before you should summon your
patience, it is well worth while. There are ways to speed up the process:
I placed the guitar in front of my studio speakers and played CD quality
recordings of cello and violin music. The sustain of the bowed instruments
keeps the wood, glue, and finish vibrating, which speeds the adaptation
process.
If I ever want another guitar I will
order a custom made one from you Renato
I can confirm that his business is
legitimate. I should also mention that the United States Custom Service
did not charge duty on the guitar. Renato responds quickly to email queries
and I am sure that he will answer any questions you have.
With best wishes,

Hi
Renato,
I recently let a professional blues
guitarist play the beautiful guitar you made for me and he said it was
the finest guitar he had ever played!
Indeed, it is a beauty in all respects:
visually, and the quality of sound is superb.
If I had any money, I would buy
another guitar from you just because...not because I need one, but just
because they are beautiful and I think you do a great job.
Hope all is well.

E'
arrivata !!
Ieri pomeriggio. L'ho disimballata
a riposare.

Hi
Renato!
Imagine my surprise when I got home
yesterday evening to find a note from DHL on my door!
So, my boss was kind enough to let
me leave early today, and I rushed home to be there when the guitar arrived.
She
arrived in flawless condition -- fabulous
packing. I let the guitar "sit" on a stand for a while
to acclimate, although it was hard to be patient!
The guitar is most definitely the
most beautiful guitar in the city. (I may be a little biased.)
:-)
She is starting to hold a tune now,
and sounds lovely. But my favorite thing about the guitar right
now is the radiused fingerboard. Oh! Bar chords are SO
much easier!
The guitar fits my hand, Renato.
It feels perfect. Thank you so much!

Dear
Renato,
I am writing to thank you (again)
for the beautiful Snakewood guitar that I purchased in January. I have
now been playing her almost six months and continue to be enthralled by
how easy she is to play and by how beautiful she sounds. She has now performed
in a number of recitals and master classes, at the Eastman School in Rochester,
NY, where I am a student in the Community Education Division (now the Eastman
Community Music School), and at the National Guitar Workshop in New Milford,
CT, from which I have just returned. In March she performed in a recital
of original compositions. My contribution was a guitar solo, "Melkor's
Salvation" inspired by Tolkien's "The Silmarillian." I also sang
three folk songs with original accompaniment for guitar and flute.
My composition instructor was amazed by the wonderful tone of the guitar:
she had heard me perform a number of times on my old guitar, a Casimiro
Lozano that I really like, but that now sounds harsh in contrast to the
Snakewood guitar. My vocal instructor mentioned a number of times how perfectly
the new guitar matches and complements the voice, in contrast to guitars
she has heard me play before. My son, now a surgical resident in Vermont,
was able to attend and took this picture after the recital:
Left to right: Carol Frangipane,
vocal instructor; Stephanie
Venturino, flute; Margaret Henry,
composition instructor;
Front: D. Sade with guitar by Bellucci.
I also played her in a guitar ensemble
led by my instructor, Petar Kodzas, and in two of his studio recitals.
I played Elegia (Morreno-Torroba) and Capricho Àrabe. The 640 mm
string length made the latter piece so much easier for me than on my old
guitar.
Several professional classical guitarists
have now tried the snakewood, and, in addition to universally admiring
the beauty of the construction, have admired the playability, the perfect
intonation throughout the fretboard, and the tone: rich but mellow, and
powerful. I find that the expressiveness of my playing has improved considerably
over the last six months thanks to the responsiveness of the instrument.
Last week I had the great privilege
of playing in masterclasses and in a recital at the National Guitar Workshop
in New Milford, CT. It was an honor to play Villancico de Navidad for Berta
Rojas, as well as other works for Martha Masters and Julian Gray. They
were struck by the beauty and playability of the snakewood guitar. When
Berta saw that the guitar was made by you she said: "Ah, Renato!" Several
of the students at the workshop were also most impressed. You may hear
from at least one.

Several of the comments on your web
site refer to the inspiration one receives from you guitars: Let me agree
that this guitar is an inspiration to play and, according to the comments
I have received, an inspiration to hear.

Even if I didn't play guitar, her aesthetic appearance and artistry are

Renato,
Thank you, I have received my
Laurel safely and soundly. The lass is gorgeous. I have a very good
guitar I purchased in Boston, but this instrument is very special. Besides
the good looks, quality and craftsmanship, what I found very different
was the scale length and the curved finger board. The fact that the scale
length should fit the size of your hand is something that precious little
know. No matter how good a guitar is if the scale length does not fit your
hand, you will still have difficulty to play fluently. I am convinced this
guitar compares well to instruments costing five times more. I am going
to have endless joy with this beauty.

Renato,
I hope this letter finds you enjoying
your vacation. We hit -7 fahrenheit here this morning.
I brought the Tasmanian
Tiger Myrtle to the church tonight to see how it will sound with
a microphone in front of it. The guitar literally filled the room with
sound and resonance.Incredible! Once we equalized the sytem for guitar
it filled the 2 story auditorium. The soundmaster exclaimed that it sounded
better than all the other guitars that were played there in the past.
Just thought you would like to know.

Maestro
Bellucci,
I received my Custom
Series Tasmanian Tiger Myrtle yesterday out here in Washington State
USA. What a work of art! I was absolutely amazed at the detail and inlay
work. Thank you for the wonderful surprise! After warming up to the room
temperature last night I began to adjust the strings. I was still at work
and Mark, one of our employees was sitting about 10 feet away. He commented
that he could feel the bass vibrating through his body. He was astounded
at the presence and tone of the instrument. He is a Southern Baptist Preacher
here at the local church and listens to musical instruments all the time.
He stated that he has never heard a sound like the Tiger Myrtle creates.
I brought her up to full tune today and what a difference in tonal quality
one day can make. The overall beauty of the instrument has caused quite
a stir in people wanting to view the instrument. The Lute port and double
top definitely project the sound into the room. Well done my friend.
I had a friend stop by today. He
is a long established blues player and has played with many of the greats
in blues and rock. He played the Tasmanian Tiger Myrtle for a few minutes
and declared it one of the finest guitars he has ever had the privilege
to play.
UPDATE: Dec 20, 2010 Already my Tiger Myrtle has eclipsed
my 37 year old Aria. The sound gets better with each passing day. I have
the new strings but will wait for the tuners. I am going to experiment
with several types of strings. The resonance has improved considerably
and the mid tones are beginning to show. The trebles are getting brighter
too. My first guitar (the Aria) now sounds cheap and plastic compared to
the Tiger Myrtle

The
African
Bubinga is my second Bullucci guitar and it is very different than
my first Curly Purple heart. As amazing as your website is, one can only
truly appreciate your guitars when you are holding them in your hands.
I may in time grow to prefer one to the other but simply can’t imagine
that presently. Both guitars have a balance which is undeniable, yet each
yields their own unique tone. And add to this the fact that both of these
guitars are aesthetically beautiful. Remarkable!

Hi
Renato,
I received the custom 10 string guitar
a couple of nights ago and wow is it an amazing instrument! It felt very
different to play than a 6 string but within a few minutes I started to
adjust. The playability was good as it was delivered. I changed strings
and now that the guitar has had a couple of days to
acclimate. She plays superbly -
like a dream!
I'm really stunned at how exquisite
the quality and detail is on the guitar. The pictures you posted,
as good as they are, don't quite do the instrument justice. It is just
astounding.
And what an amazing experience it
is to play. The sympathetic resonance and reverberation within the cavity
produce such a richly ambient sound. When a string is punched hard there
is a distinct series of echoes with the body. And the tone is so much fuller.
The voice is royal, commanding and authoritative.
Bass and low bass are very strong
but have plenty of punch. It feels as though the guitar can match
Narcisco Yepe's tone and possibly even raise the bar a bit.
It's quite possible that this is
one of the very finest 10 string guitars ever built. I'm a pretty serious
and ambitious player so I plan to make good use of it.
Thanks so much for your diligence!

Renato,
WHOA!! I
got my Tiger about an hour ago...what an experience!! I opened
the box slowly to savor the experience and took pics.
I almost fainted when I saw the
case...incredible craftsmanship!!! Then I saw the baby!!! It was
love at first sight...I'm naming her Renee in your honor.
She is presently resting in my apartment
adapting to the environment. I think an hour or so is good...I don't
want to rush it.
She is beautiful although someday
I would like to add an African Blackwood to my collection. I want to have
one custom made for just my specifications.
I am saving your signature on the
paperwork for a souvenir...you are a star!!!
Big Hugs!!
UPDATE: NOV 3 2010 Hello Renato,
I can't put Renee down, I have played
her for at least 6 hours and I'm having a hard time tearing myself away
from her!!
Believe it or not, she sounds better
by the hour!!
Already, she just needs a little
tweaking to tune after a good nights sleep and she's chomping at the bit
as I write...
this is the best guitar I've ever
had.
Thank you so much!

Hi.
Renato.
I got the Macassar and you're right:
it is a masterpiece.
I did not write to you earlier because
I have been too busy playing it. I wish I could take it to the world beyond,
when my time comes, where I could continue playing it for the rest of eternity.
My daughter found it to sound like
a harp. It would sound so perfect in heaven.
All kidding aside it sounds so beyond
my expectations. My gratitude to you is infinite.
Keep the good work, my brother.
Love and peace to you and all your
loved ones.

Maestro
Bellucci,
I wanted to let you now that the
Guitar (what a beautiful instrument) arrived in good condition.
I unpacked her and took some time tuning and inspecting her. Right
out of the box she has a big well balanced sound. The separation
of individual notes is especially notable. I love playing Romanza
and Jesus Joy of Mans Desiring on it as the hold on cords and sustain is
wonderful without being mushy or mechanically buzzy at all. I am
waiting for a month or so before doing any changes in the action.
I was not going to show her of until
after I had her for a while but I had a practice this Saturday with two
other guitarists that I will be playing double and quartet guitar with.
It took them ¾ of an hour to stop looking and wanting to “test”
her. We started to practice and one of them stated he needed to change
his strings because his guitar was sounding “thin.” Not long after
we stopped to let him change strings I found Mark, the other guitarist,
on your web page looking at the Ziricote B&S, Double top you have for
sale. Neither had seen a guitar with the violin bridges before as
well. You will be getting an order from him soon.
Thank you for partnering me with
“Isabella” and I will keep you informed of any recordings and videos we
do.

Dear
Renato,
The
guitar got here this afternoon. I love the first guitar I bought
from you last year - love it. I want to be clear on that one
word. This guitar I received today is, believe it or not, and I'm sure
you do, more amazing. The extra sound holes make it more resonant
than the first. I am overwhelmed by it's appearance.
I write
sonnets. Perhaps after I play for awhile on this Cocobolo piece of
perfection you crafted, I will dedicate a poem to her - and, of course,
mail it to you for your testimonial page, which I enjoy reading. To say
I am happy with this fine instrument is truly an understatement.

I am overwhelmed. I can't put my

Dear

Dear Renato, I got excellent feedback
about BabyTonga.
I took her to my Jazz Teacher, and
also to the head of UCI Guitar school, he is also the head of the guitar
program at Irvine Valley College.
They were in awe about my
Babe, the armrest, the violin tie, the inlays, the double top, and the
sound, and this with the old strings…I will post a review this weekend.
Be well my friend! She's
a Beauty. Thank you !

Dearest
Renato,
Not
only is my Tiger BEAUTIFUL, she plays like a dream! She actually
resonates INTO me when I play! WOW!! And she rings! The
sustain is incredible. She inspires me to be the very best I can
be and I look forward to my next Bellucci creation. I’m ecstatic
about owning and playing this instrument!!
I thought you’d enjoy seeing the
unveiling, so we shot a little video of the process. Barbara is behind
the camera and you’ll hear her get caught up in the beauty of the Tiger.

If I had the money, I would have you
make me a Flamenco, a 6 string acoustic and the 12 string acoustic.
Your guitars are magnificent!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE MUSIC
IN YOU!!!

Caro
Renato,
la magnifica chitarra in Ziricote
- top in alpine spruce, è arrivata.
l'abinamento ziricote e pino è veramente indovinato. Ottime le rifiniture.
Ti scriverò più avanti
per presentarmi meglio, intanto ti ringrazio
calorosamente.

guitar with the Alpine Spruce top has arrived. I played her. The fullness
of sound is unbelievable and so is sustain. Easy on the left hand. I am
really struck, she's a jewel. I cannot imagine what she will sound like
in 6 mmonths ! The Ziricote /Spruce combination is striking and teh setailing
is right on teh spot ! Perefct finish.
I'll write again in teh future.
Thanks

Hi
Renato,
I'm staring at my
beautiful Zorro right now. In the low light of my living room, the
pieces of pearl in my rosette shine like little jewels, and the birds are
casting tiny glimmers of color. I fell asleep on the couch last night
just staring at her! Everyone that I've shown her to is blown away!
She has a very sweet tone and the harmonics simply sing. The intonation
is perfect; the tone is even all across the fretboard, and she is very
easy to play. This is an amazing guitar in every way! The name Calypso
came to me when I first saw her on your website; I like it.

Absolutely
Beautiful. Arrived home from Canada today and couldn't unpack my suitcases
or anything until I had a chance to sit down tune it up and play it. The
sound is wonderful and I know it's just going to get better as time passes.
I had both addresses covered for it's arrival. MY friend unpacked it for
me and thought I should just put it a glass case and never touch it again.
Well that is not going to happen. I got invited to accompany a children's
Christmas Program in Montana this year and this Beauty is going along.
Thank you much for this work of art. God Bless

Hi
Renato.
Zorro
arrived today in all his glory. It is a beautiful guitar and
arrived in perfect condition. I could not resist tuning her up giving
her a brief spin. She has a very balance voice with great sustain.
She is now resting in her case in a climate controlled room. I look
forward to spending a lot of time with her.
Thank you.

Received
my lovely "GLO"...My it is exquisite and the case is a
masterful piece of work!! The packing was unbelievably well done and nothing
was damaged at all!!! I tuned it and am playing it and the sound is out
of this world. The keyboard is so easy on the fingers that I am thrilled
and it is almost the only guitar that I play now although I do have 5!!!!

Hi
Renato,
I really love my
Bellucci guitar. It is absolutely beautiful, the art work and the sound.
And it has really opened up a lot in the pas few weeks. Also it is
a lot easier to play to that is very helpful also. Would never change
it for a different one.

Hello
Renato,
the
Anaconda II has arrived and is even more beautiful than the pictures
on the web site. My only wish is to be able to play her as well as she
looks one day. It is 39 degrees C and 75% humidity as I write. Fortunately
it is cooler at my lodgings where the Anaconda II is getting its first
breath of New England.
Thanks to you and your fine luthiers

Dear
Renato,
I had to let you know that I
received my new " Tiger " yesterday, much sooner than I anticipated.
DHL did a wonderful job and I was able to track the progress with the tracking
number, which added to the anticipation. The protective packaging was amazing,
there's no way you could damage the goods unless it fell out of the plane.
When I opened the box I was stunned
by the beauty of the case, definitely a work of art. The guitar is truly
breathtaking! I haven't had much time to play yet, but neck size definitely
makes a difference in my ability to reach some difficult chords that have
frustrated me in the past. The tone is as beautiful as the guitar is. I'm
in love with this guitar. You and your group of artisans are amazing. I'm
already considering having you build a steel string for me in the future
( I can't let my wife see this)
Thanks for your dedication.

Renato,
I have just received the
most beautiful instrument I have ever seen.
I have no words other than these...
"Guitarra"
She whispered of ancient streets
speckled with gold
A gift from the setting sun
She smelled of soft moonlit wind
Chased along thick swaying branches
by startled green leaves
She remembered long clear summer
days
and laughed strong and true
like ambered honey
She flung her skirt and danced
Exploding with sensual rhythms
Her radiant skin sparkling under
the stars
She sighed
quietly, happily, surrendering
to a life more profound

Mr
Bellucci:
I wanted to give this marvelous
guitar a “full run-through.” This
guitar is everything that I have dreamnt of at night during that short time
between deep sleep and the awareness that you are dreaming. I have owned
or still own numerous guitars: Cordoba 1A with Brazilian Rosewood sides
and back, Yairi CY 200, Cordoba Custom Artist Flamed European Sides and
Back, 2004 Ramirez 1A Tradicional with a European Spruce top lined with
cypress for the sides. None of these guitars can compare to the beautiful
guitar that I now posses from your competent and artistic workshop—I am
not sure who owns who, the guitar, or myself—I am just the ‘Bullfighter’
in the ring and the dance is exhilarating. All that besides, I have been
a manager of a local guitar store in years past, adjunct studio teacher
for the local State University, which one of my students owns one of your
cut-away guitars, and have close friends who are salesmen for the local
Guitar Center. Speaking of which, the salesmen at Guitar Center anted me
to play an early 1990’s Brazilian Wood Ramirez 1A that they Had just recently
acquired. I took my Bellucci guitar with me, because I wanted to brag and
educate my friends of the treasures that are lurking out in the world of
the wonderful Internet—Hello Mr. Renato. Needless to say, they were very
impress with my beautiful Bellucci. I pointed out to them the many fine
details that you could not find on a custom shop Breedlove, Martin, or
R Taylor—I mention these steel string manufactures because they are held
in such high esteem here in the states. “Notice how the upper bout is shorter
in depth then the lower bout, notice how much the back is ‘curved’ both
longitudinally across the instrument and from side to side—something no
one will find on a present day high dollar semi-hand made manufactured
guitar including a present day Ramirez IA, which a scant reading of an
old Irving Sloan Book would attest to the need and excellence of such construction.
This goes beyond stating the obvious
of the exquisite detail of the Bellucci guitars, which I would think any
average person could enjoy just ‘surfing’ the Web. Take my word on it:
the action, sound, projection, and dare I say Duende of this instrument
has inspired me to get up at 4:00 A.M. to practice. I have performed two
different recitals and gigs in the past few weeks, something I would not
have the inspiration to do in years past—I had presently given-up on the
notion of adding performing guitar to the family’s budget—I am a father
of a single income family with three beautifully children. Thank you Mr.
Bellucci!! I really mean it—Many Thanks—I am trying to pass the word around
of your awesome guitars.

Renato
I can't hardly
believe how the
sound of this instrument has improved already and as you say if it
keeps improving which I'm sure it well over the next 4 to 6 months I won't
be able to put it down. And to think the one I have yet to receive will
likely sound better than this is very hard to believe. I am extremely pleased
with this work of art and sound and sure to be more so in the future. I
am now even more excited about my next masterpiece. Just for your
information I visited a music store today to purchase some new strings
and played several of the instruments and not a one can compare even close
to the Tiger, that's what I call it and it's not at it's full potential.
Thanks again to you and your team of masters. God Bless and let's never
let the music die. Thanks again.
Gary.

Hi
Renato:
The
guitar arrived in excellent condition. It is truly a work of art, exceeded
only by its quality of sound. That combination of wood and the soundports
result in great volume and sustain. The radius on the fingerboard and the
640mm spacing make playing a pleasure. Thank you for such a lovely guitar.
