New Transcription & Fingering: "Wonderful Tonight"

New Transcription & Fingering: "Wonderful Tonight"

Wonderful Tonight, Staff #1

I decided to transcribe and finger for classical guitar this amazing Eric Clapton hit from the 70s: Wonderful Tonight. In 1977, Wonderful Tonight was the main slow song we were all waiting for at our high school parties. The blues style ballad with Clapton emblematic voice signing the work was simply irresistible. Today, as I am finishing the transcription of Hotel California, I am thrilled at the idea of competing this amazing landmark work from my teen years...

"Wonderful Tonight" was included on Clapton's 1977 album Slowhand. Clapton wrote the song about Pattie Boyd, and it is mentioned in her autobiographical book Wonderful Tonight.

Clapton wrote "Wonderful Tonight" on September 7 1976, while waiting for his date to get ready to attend a Paul and Linda McCartney's  party.
