The reasons are mostly associated with the always more scarce, costly and low quality of the Brazilian variety which also underwent always stricter restrictions the world over which in turn has spiraled a huge speculation worldwide. Franquette Walnut has also conquered me since I first used it a few year back because it offers some amazing grain and a consistent sound throughout the spectrum of sound. The looks on the instrument are marvelous and the marquetry details enhance its presence even more.
