Bastogne Walnut B&S, Spanish Cedar top

Bastogne Walnut B&S, Spanish Cedar top Concert Classical Guitar.

As I was playing Ennio Morricone on this gorgeous Bastogne Walnut guitar I felt how much life this stunning guitar can inspire. "Gabriel's Oboe" from the epic move "The Mission" shines gorgeously on this one in a million guitar. Her body trembled generously at every stroke of the right hand and I could feel the bass on my chest as I gently reclined her towards me. Inspiring sound and stunning beauty are two of her most inspiring attributes. The lute type rosette forces the sound to excite every part of the construction exponentially and she pushes the air out at a tremendous speed generating a full, reverberating sound. This is in part due to the 70 years seasond Spanish Cedar top. In Pernambuco's "Som de Carrilhões" she shows her lively character and one cannot but admire how easy it is to play her. Your left hand fingers are never strained and you feel relaxed throughout the performance. Walnut comes in many presentations and the Bastogne variety has a wild looking grain that contrasts to perfection with classic elements such as the lute type rosette and the classic marquetry that I used to decorate her throughout. Bastogne Walnut, also called Paradox, is a rare hybrid tree resulting from a cross between an English Walnut and a Black Walnut species. Bastogne Walnut is a premium guitar tonewood. The wood has beautiful color and highly figured grain and it always delivers splendid sounding and looking guitars. Besides Spanish Cedar, Bastogne Walnut also works to perfection with Spruce and Sinker Redwood using either Hermann Hauser or Lattice braced configurations. Do not hesitate in ordering this exquisite guitar. You will love her from the first time you caress her. S.D.G.
