Renato Bellucci: GUITAR VIDEOS

Renato Bellucci plays "Cavatina" from the Oscar winning movie "The Deer hunter" on Barrios' 1918 guitar. Cavatina was composed by the Australian composer Stanley Myers. The one presented is my own fingering based on Abel Carlevaro's technique to keep string noise (squeaks, etc.) to a minimum. I teach this work and Carlevaro Technique on mangore.com "Cavatina" is a musical term, originally a song or air. Nowadays it is frequently applied to a simple melodious air. The most famous Cavatina is Beethoven's 5th movement of his String Quartet No. 13. Following the release of the movie "The Deer Hunter" in 1978, John Williams' orchestral version of "Cavatina" became a UK Top 20 hit.
