- Abalone Rosette & Details on the Bridge & Headstock
Cocobolo Back & Sides, Cedar Top
Beauty, Model CCTM-01
I indulged in a fabulous Set set of Coocobolo. The Mexican Species offers some of the most striking grains among the Tonewoods available for guitar construction. It brings to mind some of the best tropical sunsets and it showcases some stunning tones of red, yellow and deep purple going all the way into the deepest black. I used Ebony for the fingerboard & the Bridge. The exclusive marquetry uses some of the colors of the Cocobolo along side some marvelous contrasting red & yellows. The 52mm bone nut offers a well spaced string separation. I completed the decoration using beautiful African Padauk and Abalone for the exclusive Rosette. The look and sound of this masterpiece guitar will conquer you from the very first moment that your hands meet the strings. I highly recommend this type of construction to both the concert player and the session musician. In my performance of Asturias on an almost Identical Cedar top, you can appreciate the deep yet lively bass, the clear trebles and the superb separation of voices. Both hands feel very comfortable on the instrument and the action is swift and easy. S.D.G.
The 9-braces Hauser fan is the result of many years of experimenting. It is based on Torres 4 fan brace design which was later developed by the German luthier Hermann Hauser. The braces act as sound vibrations highways. They carry the vibration of each string to a specific spot on the soundboard. The variations on the 9 braces fan is enormous. The Luthier taylors each fan to achieve a specific sound and match the instrument with the rest of the woods used in the construction. I often use a mixture of Cedar, Spruce and Mahogany to achieve the best separation of voices. When I add the extra transversal strut in the Rodriguez style, it enhances the sound of treble string enormously.
Bellucci guitars are decorated using marvelous wood marquetry to enhance all her lines and put an accent on specific parts of the construction. The marquetry requires anywhere between 35 & 90 hours of highly skilled labor to be inlayed throughout the guitar. It is made entirely by hand using knives that each luthier typically manufactures himself. It takes the guitar to unsuspected levels of beauty. The marquetry also constitutes an often critical point of release of tension which is caused by the constant expanding and contracting of the woods used in guitar construction. These are due to such factors such as humidity and ambience temperature.
The Mother of Pearl and Abalone inlay work adds amazing beauty to an
already stunning guitar. It takes innumerable hours and very specialized
hands and tools to create each inlay work. The average number of hours
invested is approximately 150 hours.
The Ultralight Travel Case Ideal for Shipping (Included) is a very sturdy and extremely light case that protects the guitar very well while allowing the player to carry the instrument without adding more weight than strictly necessary. It is covered in black plush inside and has 2 pockets on the outside and an accessories compartment on the inside. 2 Straps to carry it on the back as a backpack or over the shoulder.
Bellucci Guitars wear some of the best tuners available on the market. Schaller, Gotoh & Waverly. All models are Gold plated and are designed to last for a lifetime.
The Papua Abalone Rosette is simply fabulous and adds a touch of beauty to the most looked at part of the instrument.
Typically, when I decorate the rosette with Pearl and Abalone, I match the work with touches of both Pearl & Abalone on the Bridge and/or on the accompanying Violin tie.
The Bellucci Triple Neck Reinforcement (Maple-Rosewood-Maple) adds beauty and resilience to the neck allowing us to build it slim and when coupled to the Carbon Fiber Truss rod or the Adjustable Truss Rod, it ensures a beautiful and straight neck for several generations no matter what string tension or brand you use.
Carbon Fiber is stronger than an equivalent volume of steel. The Carbon fiber truss rod prevents neck twisting and/or bending due to the excessive tension that many modern brands of strings bring about. It adds practically no weight to the construction and will keep your neck straight for ages.
