Marvelous Gabon Ebony Back and Sides, Franquette Walnut Top, Concert Guitar. Gabon Ebony is a great choice for the Back and Sides of concert guitars. Mixing it with a splendid Franquette Walnut top was a great choice in order to deliver the well separated sound. Warm overtones and the tremendous Punch of the African species are quite impressive. She is pure elegance and possesses an air of royalty. Luxury Marquetry (optional onboard EQ/Digital Tuner) and a Carbon fiber truss rod completed the list of specs. Gabon Ebony allows the luthier to use a wide variety of finishes: Polyurethane, Nitrocellulos or French Polish. This is due to the extremely tight grain with very glassy features and very little or minuscule porosity.
