I had heard many beautiful things said
about this gorgeous Californian species... I had heard about the crystal
clear sound, elegant figure and wonderful finish. These promises
of a top notch concert instrument finally come true. The instrument possesses
one of the best sounding bass and singing trebles I ever heard and you
can appreciate it in my performance of Asturias. It is as if the bass and
each string had a life of its own and each voice sings to the fullest.
Striking to say the least ! Asturias gains in beauty when played on this
babe.
The Hauser braced Alpine Spruce
top adds to the tremendous separation of voices and a rich array of harmonics
and overtones fills my ears as I play through the great classic.
Her beauty is beyond words. The
handmade marquetry crowned with the handmade Tula (Russia) rosette and
the Padauk bindings all help to make her a Queen among guitars.
Playability is easy and she produces
elegant vibratos at the slightest lateral movement of the fingers. An easy
16" radiused action and a slim neck in conjunction with a low 3.8mm high
action at fret 12 make as complete as a concert guitar can be.
