Here
is a MASTERPIECE that sent waves of admiration throughout my studio.
This African Walnut guitar will blow you away !! What a sound ! What
a presence ! I could not resist he beauty of this set of Walnut and I embarked
on a wonderful journey that took 180 hours of intense labor and the passion
of true artists of luthery and guitar playing. Walnut is what I usually
classify as a "Macho Wood" because it is resilient, classical and elegant.
It withstands hard work and is 100% reliable. This particular set is rare
because it has a huge array of brown, reddish and even pink tones to it.
An amazing grain pattern that resembles the fur on a German Shepherd. I
mounted a Western Redcedar top to make her PERFECT. Powerful yet
clear and tremendously expressive. The bass is catapulted powerfully as I
play Una Limosna. She's AMAZING ! The Cedar top adds sweetness and
an an everlasting sustain that puts her apart from all the other guitars
you may have heard to date. Clarity in the trebles and a myriad harmonics
to make you feel like in Heaven. As I play Barrios' "Una Limosna", I feel
like I can exploit every phrase in the music and the guitar is there to
make my wishes come true... The separation of voices is perfect and this
can be noted in the contrapuntal notes (marked in red in the image) that
are present throughout the work as a pedal. The tremolo moves clear
on top of the bass line creating the epic melody by the Paraguayan master.
She's Very easy to play thanks to the stylized neck and low action.
