New Masterclass, Mozart, "Laudate Dominum"

I first heard Laudate Dominum in the late 80s. It was one of the tracks of Christopher Parkening's CD "Simple Gifts". I fell in love with the piece immediately. Unfortunately Parkening's transcription was for 2 guitars and he played both tracks in the CD. I asked a good friend who was into transcribing at the time if he would make a transcription and, although he confirmed he would, he could not do it and so many years passed by. I decided to give it a try and came up with this Arrangement and fingering that works really well preserving the marvelous arpeggios and bringing out the celestial melody. Mozart is without any doubt one of the greatest composers of all time, lacking only the great depth and maturity that Bach achieved. Mozart died at a very young age and this was probably the main reason he did not reach the levels that Bach did. Bach deep devotion for the Lord on the other hand played a ver important role in his immense musical achievements.  Visit the Masterclass
