New Masterclass: Paul Simon, "The Sound of Silence"

Renato Bellucci teaches: "The Sound of Silence", Paul Simon, from the Movie "The Graduate". It was 1967, the man had not set foot on the Moon yet and Dustin Hoffman was about to enter Hollywood history with his unforgettable role as a newly graduate student who falls victim of the seduction of an elder woman, Mrs Robinson. The movie featured several Simon & Garfunkel classics. The piece is short and repeats the theme several times. You can vary the sound of the guitar and play with "musical color". The Sound of Silence can be played by novice players but seasoned pros will find that is a great piece to add "a touch of home" to their repertoire.
