Bloodwood B&S, German Spruce top

Bloodwood is one of my favorite Tropical Tonewoods, its botanical name is Brosimum rubescens and it is a native of South America. Model: BLW-S-1

The common name of this stunning tonewood is very eloquent and perfectly describes our precious life fluid: Blood. She inspires passion and love. It is very dense and projects sound very powerfully and efficiently. I mounted a splendid German Spruce top with tight grain and a superb tap tone and proceeded to make her a Hauser with my very special diagonal strut across the treble side fan brace to give her that very special sound and passionate phrasing that so much enamors us with the classical guitar sound. You can hear the clear melody in Romance and the same is true with Cavatina. She emanates passion at every plucking of the right hand and I feel in total contra of both sound and the overall phrasing that the music requires. A full punch comes from the bass and this generates an harmonic background that enhances all the other voices that are placed on top of it. Fabulous! The decoration is perfect and everything combines to perfection to the adjacent parts. All the way from the roses in the rosette to the Cocobolo bindings and the splendid handmade marquetry; the deep red is present throughout and the contrast with the white top is stunning. Easy action with a slight radius and a low action at just 3.5mm at fret 12. You cannot ask for a more amazing instrument at such an amazing price. S.D.G.
