Small Body Tasmanian Blackwood B&S, Cedar top, Sting Model

This Queen is one of my latest additions to the list of Bellucci Featured guitars series. I was inspired by the dad of one of my students who insisted that I build a small body guitar for his young son who was about to enroll to my intensive guitar course and, having recently seen musician Sting on a Ted talk playing a small body guitar (see images at the bottom of teh page), I was impressed at the beauty of the sound and the power of the instrument and decided to make one available for the many players that do not feel at home with large instruments and I have come to find out that it is a lot of players. I insist that players, whether they are young or adults, play on a full size fingerboard. Full size fingerboards range from 664 to 615 mm. The fingerboard size I use on my small body guitars is the 610-615 mm size and it is amazing how easy it feels to the hand and what is even more astonishing is that there is no loss in volume, sustain or presence of sound. The small body series requires the same amount of time to build as the regular size series. Still, we manage to keep our price very tight because we can use smaller sets for both the back and Sides as well as for the top and this translates in a big saving in materials. If your body size is what you would define as small, this guitar will feel perfect in your hands.
