Renato Bellucci plays: "Amistad", Eliseo Fresquet-Serret

My Great Friend and Brother Eliseo Fresquet-Serret is one of the greatest Spanish Composers of all times. Eliseo knows how to find the shortest path to a man's heart and soul. Amistad is one of his best compositions to date. Amistad means "Friendship" in Spanish and Eliseo is exactly that: A great Friend !! Amistad is also one of his most demanding pieces technically speaking. I had to find the right time of the evening to make the recording happen because ambience noise would disrupt an already demanding work. Eliseo surprises me at every turn and his music takes genial routes that generate interest and awe. Being Eliseo "a true Spaniard" you can hear his Iberic roots in every musical phrase. I must say that being myself a great Barrios Mangoré admirer, I can also hear some of those "Valse-like" riffs so typical of the great Guaraní composer. Eliseo's music belongs to the ages and I am so fortunate for having had Elseo choose me among so many to bring his great music to life. Bravo Maestro ! S.D.G.
