I am stunned at the magnificent sound that my new Da Vinci series guitars can produce. The amazing sound she produces is reflected in the body several times and it "explodes" out of the Soundports at an amazing seed with a power and sustain that conquer me every time. Amazing ! The set of Brazilian Rosewood is from South Eastern Brazil (Minas Gerais) and it was air dried for over 120 years in an old demolished fazenda (farm). The set has been around since the days when humanity had just been introduced to the telegraph... that is how old it is. And it shows in the mature sound and the perfect bookmatching. The bass is deep, clear and with a powerful punch that sends huge vibration to the chest of the player. The response in Spanish and Romantic music is perfect and the clarity and separation of voices she displays during Baroque performance is unbeatable. Listen how lively the instrument carries the main voice in Asturias. The guitar is expressive yet with a deep penetrating sound that is a dream come true. Decorating her was a work of art in every way... from the handmade marquetry that so elegantly decorates her lines, passing to the Quilted Maple lute type rosette and the special cutaway, the skill of luthery is elevated to its highest levels. Finally, playability is perfect. The left hand is never strained and thanks to the radiused Ebony fingerboard, the low action at just 3.8mm at fret 12, the slim neck and eh special cutaway, you will not believe how smooth and easy she feels.

Bellucci guitars are decorated using marvelous wood marquetry to enhance all her lines and put an accent on specific parts of the construction. The marquetry requires over 35 hours of highly skilled labor to be made and it takes the guitar to unsuspected levels of beauty.

Fingerboard Scale: 650 mm or 640 mm? Keep the following rule at hand: If the distance between the tip of your thumb and the tip of your little finger is equal or less than 9 in. when fully stretched, use 640 mm. When the guitar player uses the correct scale length, stretches that are otherwise impossible become natural. Elusive notes that seem to be well beyond our natural reach, become easy. The standard on Bellucci guitars is 640mm.

Radiused or flat fingerboard? The radiused fingerboard has been around the acoustic and the electric guitar since day one. The same is true for most instruments of the Stringed family of instruments (violas, violins cellos, bass). Radiusing makes barre and left hand stopping a lot easier. The only drawback is that you will never want to play a flat fingerboard after that. The standard fingerboard is flat.

The indented cutaway is very both beautiful and extremely useful. It requires the highest level of luthery to be made and when it comes to playability, it allows the player to access the F# on fret 14 with amazing ease thus covering the 14 most used frets in the classical guitar.

The 9-braces Hauser fan is the result of many years of experimenting. It is based on Torres 4 fan brace design. The braces act as sound vibrations highways. They carry the vibration of each string to a specific spot on the soundboard. The variations on the 9 braces fan is enormous. Luthier taylor each fan to achieve a specific sound and match the instrument with the rest of the woods used in the construction. I often use a mixture of Cedar, Spruce and Mahogany to match different wood combinations.

Embossed Leather Case Included. The Bellucci hand embossed leather case is a work of art on its own right. Built by one of a handful of very talented leather embossers in Latin America. It takes countless hours of patient labor to emboss a single case.
